To followup on Chicks & checks, again I’m quoting Debi Harris, CEO of the Women’s Fund of Miami-Dade. She likes nonprofits to look at the six C’s for women’s motivation for nonprofit giving. They are:
Create new solutions to old problems
Use their money to make Change
They Commit to the organization’s vision
Enjoy Connection with the organization
Collaborate with others
Celebrate
This is particularly true of the women ages 46 to 64. They want to feel empowered when their philanthropy makes a difference in the lives of others. They want to be asked about their openings and want nonprofits to listen to them. They need to know what the results are for their giving.
Sounds simple. So take a look at your donor list and see if you are creating the six C’s for women.
